Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrive in Kathamndu
Arrive in Kathamndu (1350m / 4430ft): On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After freshen up, walk around local area and enjoy the dinner in the evening.

Day 02 : Fly to Paro, Bhutan
Fly to Paro (2200m / 7200ft) - Drive to Thimphu (2320m / 7600ft) / 1 ½ hour’s drive: Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide, and then escorted to your hotel in Thimphu. The drive from Paro to Thimphu (capital city) will take you through beautiful rice terraced fields, and alongside the gushing Pho Chu and Wang Chu rivers.

After rest and freshen up, visit the impressive Tashichho Dzong - the ‘Fortress of the Glorious Religion’ and home to Bhutan’s royal government.

Day 03 : Sightseeing in Thimphu
Sightseeing in Thimphu: Spend a day visiting various sites that provides an insight into the Bhutanese art, architecture, culture and traditions.

Drive to the Buddha Point at a hilltop overlooking the Thimphu valley. The view of Thimphu valley from the park is just amazing. Then visit Folk Heritage Museum, Textile Museum, Simply Bhutan Museum and National Library. Stroll around the city before dinner.

Day 04 : Drive to Punakha
Thimphu - Punakha (1240m / 4070ft) - Thimpu (3 hours’ drive): Make your way to Punakha, the old capital of Bhutan, enjoying the views from Dochu La Pass (3100m / 10,200ft). Take a short walk to the Chime Lhakhang known as the Temple of the Divine Madman, a uniquely-adorned 15th century temple said to bless visiting couples for fertility.

After lunch visit Punakha Dzong situated at the junction of the two rivers Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River). It is one of the most spectacular dzongs in the country. The Dzong serves as the winter residence for the Je Khenpo, Chief Abbot of Bhutan. If the time permits, stroll at a nearby village.

Day 05 : Drive to Paro
Drive to Paro (4 hours): After breakfast, drive to Paro. On the way, stop at 15 century Iron Bridge built by Thangtong Gyalpo (1385-1464) - a great yogi, physician, blacksmith, architect, and a pioneering civil engineer.

After lunch, visit the National Museum of Bhutan which displays the Bhutanese culture, art and natural history, followed by historical Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery overlooking the Paro valley. Built in 1644 by Ngawang Namgyal, the fortress-monastery served as an effective defense against numerous attempts for invasions by the Tibetans.

Day 06 : Hike to Tiger’s Nest in Paro
After an early breakfast, hike to the magnificent Tiger’s Nest Monastery (3120m / 10240 ft). The hike is about two miles and takes about 3 hours to reach the picturesque Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang) Monastery that clings to a cliff 3,000 feet above the valley floor. Tiger’s Nest is a sacred pilgrimage site, where the great tantric mystic Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) is believed to have flown on the back of the tiger to bring the teachings of the Buddhist to Bhutan.

Day 07 : Fly to Kathmandu
Fly to Kathmandu: After breakfast, you will be picked up at hotel to transfer to airport. You will be picked up at Kathmandu airport, and then escorted to your hotel.

In the afternoon, visit World Heritage Site of Bhaktapur - home of the medieval art and architecture. The Square is one of the most charming architectural showpieces of the Valley as it highlights some of the finest medieval arts of Nepal.

Day 08 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Guided tour to World Heritage sites in Kathmandu: The rich tapestry of the cultural heritage of Nepal is synthesized in Kathmandu. Visit Patan - the first city of Nepal. The ancient name of Patan is Lalitpur, meaning city of beauty. The city is believed to be the first settlement in the Valley and famous for its amazing collection of fantastically carved temples and palace courtyards. Patan is also famous for authentic Nepali metal crafts. Then, visit Boudhanath, possibly the world’s largest Buddhist stupa and a site of great veneration and Tibetan culture. Visit Tibetan monastery and painting school. Lastly, visit the most revered Hindu temple of Nepal – Pashupatinath. The place is also a popular cremation site for Hindus, hence has a special atmosphere.

Day 09 : Fly to Pokhara
Fly to Pokhara (850m / 2790ft): A short and scenic flight will take you to the beautiful town of Pokhara. Nestled beneath the Himalayas, the lush natural beauty of Pokhara contrasts with Fewa Lake and mountain views. Take a boat on ride Fewa Lake followed by lunch. Then visit the International Mountain Museums and walk around the colorful lakeside in the afternoon.

Day 10 : In Pokhara
After breakfast, take a short drive to Pumdikot (1500m / 4920ft), a site of an ancient fort on a hilltop. The site offers spectacular views of the Himalayas on a clear day. Then, take a pleasant short downhill hike to Peace Stupa dedicated for the world peace. The hike is downhill and offers outstanding views of the Fewa Lake, Pokhara city and Himalayas in the background. Free afternoon.

Day 11 : Drive to Chitwan National Park
Drive to Chitwan National Park (150m / 490ft): After breakfast you will leave for Chitwan National Park. It is about 4 ½ hours of beautiful drive through scenic Trisuli gorge and flat fertile land of Tarai in southern Nepal.

You will stay two nights at Chitwan village at the border of Chitwan National Park. These two days Chitwan package provides different jungle activities such as jungle safari, boat ride, jungle walk, bird
watching, tribal dance program, visiting tribal Tharu village etc. The activities will be in a small groups.

The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the last populations of one-horned Asiatic rhinoceros and home of the Bengal tiger.

Note: During monsoon and post monsoon (usually mid-June to beginning of October), jeep safaris are not permitted to conduct by the park authority due to slippery and muddy roads. Alternate activities are provided during this period.

Day 13 : Fly to Kathmandu
Fly to Kathmandu: A short and scenic flight will bring you to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Domestic Airport in Kathmandu, you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Visit the Soyambhunath stupa on a hillock overlooking Kathmandu valley.

Day 14 : Depart from Kathmandu
You will be picked up at hotel and transfer to airport.
